Here are some of my favourite travel photographs from magical Tuscany in Italy.
We spent a week in the Chianti region between Siena and Florence. We hired a car and drove around the countryside exploring. I particularly loved Siena and the gorgeous medieval walled villiage of Monteriggioni. The countryside was stunning, flowers were blooming and we had some gorgeous sunsets and cloud cover.
The images may take a while to load as I’ve included a heap, so please be patient! I actually have so many to share that I’ll be making a second post for Tuscany to do it justice!
This is beautiful Barberino Val d’Elsa, a small village in Tuscany.
I think all the flowers we saw in Europe looked stunning!
I was really excited to visit Siena and it was stunning. The buildings and streets were beautiful with artwork scattered throughout the small city.
I loved the Fonte Gaia, a beautiful fountain in the Piazza del Campo in the center of Siena.
The symbol of Siena – a she-wolf suckling Romulus and Remus, here is one of the many wolf sculptures in Siena.
Piazza del Duomo the Cathedral of Siena. There is a cazy amount of detail and intricacy inside and outside this cathedral.
Another she-wolf statue by the Doumo.
Loved these views over Siena! This one looking out over the Doumo.
This is stunning Monteriggioni – a gorgeous walled medieval village in the hills. I loved exploring this town and walking around the outside of the town wall watching a magical sunset.
I love that this cat came along to complete this image.
